L1.       Overview of The Business Strategist

1.1.          The Business Strategist is a performance coaching business providing education and guidance to businesses on their leadership and strategy. The Program is aimed at small the medium enterprises and leaders. This service is appropriate for business owners looking to strategise and develop their leadership and business skills, and is not appropriate for people looking for mental health treatment or diagnosis. Pre-screening will be undertaken to ensure readiness for the program, and no underlying mental health conditions.

1.2.          The Business Strategist was designed to provide high quality, evidence-based content to business owners via performance coaching and business model education.  

2.       Structure of The Business Strategist

2.1.       The Business Strategist programs runs exclusively online, with course material made

available online. It includes a fixed number of modules to complete over the set period. Screening for suitability for the program and readiness will be undertaken prior to acceptance into the program.

2.2.          Client will undertake self-paced online learning each week focussed on business models and evidence, supported by coaching calls and email contact to answer questions.

2.3.          Online content will be available via the online portal.

2.4.          As part of the offering, clients may opt in to VIP Coaching during the program, which will take place at pre-determined and approved times via online software. These coaching sessions will be charged at the market rate at time of the program and may be discounting at times to encourage engagement and participation.

3.       Relationship with The Business Strategist

3.1.          The Business Strategist is operated by Carly Fisher who is a registered psychologist.

3.2.          While Carly Fisher is a registered psychologist, The Business Strategist Program is not a psychology service.

3.3.          By consenting to participate in The Business Strategist program, participants acknowledge that they are participating in a coaching program and are not receiving psychological services from Carly Fisher.  

3.4.          To avoid any potential conflicts of interest arising, past clients of Carly Fisher cannot be accepted as participants in the The Business Strategist program within at least 5 years of cessation of psychological services provided by Carly Fisher.

3.5.          Similarly, participants in the The Business Strategist program cannot be accepted as clients of Carly Fisher’s within a minimum of 5 years of completion of the The Business Strategist program.

3.6.          Any requests for cross-referral or registration between former clients of Carly Fisher and The Business Strategist will be assessed on a case by case basis, and will only be accepted at Carly Fisher’s discretion, depending on the individual circumstances.

3.7.          If in the course of participating in the The Business Strategist program, issues arise which in Carly Fisher’s professional opinion are beyond the scope of the coaching relationship, a participant may be advised to see their GP and obtain a referral to consult with an appropriate clinician.  

3.8.          Carly Fisher may at any times and in their sole discretion, terminate a participant’s registration in the The Business Strategist Program if Carly Fisher considers it appropriate to do so. In the event of termination of a participant’s registration in the The Business Strategist program on this basis, a partial refund of the participant’s registration fees may be provided.  

4.       Privacy and Disclosure of Personal Information

4.1.          As part of your participation in the The Business Strategist Program, The Business Strategist needs to collect and record information from you.

4.2.          We enclose a copy of our Privacy Policy which we request you read and acknowledge your understanding of, prior to signing this document.

5.       Technology Requirements

5.1.          The Business Strategist is provided online through our website portal and by videoconferencing. You are responsible for the costs associated with setting up the technology needed so you can access online content and participate in video conferencing workshops.

5.2.          To access The Business Strategist content, you will need access to a device (e.g. a computer, iPad or tablet – with video and speaker and where possible, an environment free from distraction and noise.

5.3.          The privacy of any form of communication via the internet is potentially vulnerable and limited by the security of the technology used.

6.       Conditions of Purchase and Intellectual Property

6.1.          The Business Strategist website, its Programs and all content provided within, is the intellectual property of The Business Strategist.

6.2.          The reproduction, exploitation, redistribution or use of all or part of any visual, auditory or software element or document from The Business Strategist’s Website or The Business Strategist Program is strictly prohibited. 

7.       Fees

7.1.          The fees for the Programs will be set and clearly communicated at the time of the program. Fees are to be paid prior to commencement of the Program, or on the payment plan accepted in the agreement.

7.2.          From time to time The Business Strategist will offer ‘scholarships’ to the program to one, maximum two individuals experiencing significant hardship. This will be at the discretion of The Business Strategist.

8.       Cancellation & Refund Policy

8.1.          The Business Strategist will grant a refund of the registration fee paid by any participant, within 7 days prior to the commencement date of The Business Strategist Program.

8.2.          After the commencement of the course, full or partial refund of the registration fee will be granted at the discretion of The Business Strategist, and ordinarily only in circumstances where a participant’s registration is terminated by The Business Strategist in accordance with the terms of Part 3.

8.3.          Pre-booked 1:1 private coaching sessions may be cancelled by the participant up to 48 hours prior to the session time without penalty, but must be re-booked before the end of The Business Strategist program. No refund will be offered in respect of expired or unused 1:1 coaching sessions at the close of the Program.

9.       Consent to participation in the The Business Strategist Program

9.1.          I confirm that I have read and understood the information in this document about The Business Strategist and I acknowledge the following:

9.1.1.          The Business Strategist is a coaching service. Although the The Business Strategist program Carly Fisher is a registered psychologist, this is not a psychological service and I will not be receiving psychological services, treatment, advice or therapy in the course of my participating in the The Business Strategist program;

9.1.2.          If in the course of participating in the The Business Strategist program, issues arise which in Carly Fisher’s professional opinion are beyond the scope of the coaching relationship, I may be advised to see my GP and obtain a referral to consult with an appropriate clinician. 

9.1.3.          I am not an existing client of Carly Fisher and I have not previously accessed psychological services provided by Carly Fisher.  

9.1.4.          As a result of my participation in The Business Strategist Program, I am precluded from accessing psychological services provided by Carly Fisher for a minimum period of 5 years from the completion of the The Business Strategist program;

9.1.5.          Booking and paying for the service indicates that you have read and understood The Business Strategist Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
